Our theme this month is 2000s pop. I remember many of these songs – doesn’t it only take about 20 years to become classic? Welcome to 2025, and I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
Listen with your students or ask them what they picked up in their lab stations. They may surprise you and be writing a fun pop song like the early 2000s. Chime in with your favorite tunes from that time period.
Our Winter Benefit Concert was a success! Thank you to everyone who performed and supported our students. Also a huge shout-out to GRIN! Brenda represented GRIN and was overjoyed to take all of the food donations.
We can’t wait to see you again next year for our benefit concert – and next week for lessons.
A good friend of mine started talking about a didgeridoo, and about playing it in the neighborhood at sunrise. The fun of this idea was so much that I ended up buying one for my friend.
So I asked for a lesson from Michelle, and she thought that was a joke. I ended up unfolding the story about the friend with the didgeridoo. She referenced the front page of the website that specifically mentions we don’t do didgeridoo lessons at MTMS.
Michelle has a soft spot for music. I asked not too far before the anniversary open house, and last Monday I had a didgeridoo lesson. Michelle’s explanation hinged around my past experience with the trumpet. While I practiced making a sound, Michelle found a video that showed so many more things I could do with a didgeridoo.
Thanks, Michelle, for giving me more life goals! (Link leads to the great video she found in my lesson.)
Last Saturday, Michelle Tuesday Music School celebrated our 15th anniversary with an open house. Thank you to our many guests and performers who helped make this day special – and welcome to our new students and families.
We can’t contain our excitement. It’s a great day!
Can’t wait to see you next time. We love the music.
