Summer Playlist and Break!

Summer break starts today (4 July) and runs through the entire week. We will return to normal classes on 11 July! Enjoy your break and play your music for fun: pieces you’ve enjoyed in the past, pieces that remind you of what you’re learning, anything to be fun.

The MTMS Summer Music Playlist is out! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBWM2eEWNAepGyVosYnglqrY3KOvFyMdr Everyone worked hard and we’re happy to share the music. Enjoy!

Summer Playlist Deadline!

Students have until June 25th to get their submissions in for the Summer YouTube Playlist. Please video and send to receptionist [at] michelletuesday [dot] com. We can’t wait to see and hear how you’re doing!

Our playlist will come out next weekend (7/02). We’re so excited to share it with everyone because we love our students and we appreciate all of their work to be ready to share with families and friends.

New Teacher Nolan Kelly

Nolan Kelly recently graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Music Education. He is excited to join MTMS as a vocal, piano, and ukulele teacher. He completed his student teaching and is happy to be back in the Columbus area.

When you see him, welcome him to MTMS! Awaiting a newer picture, he has a beard and has also been involved in acapella at college.

June Themes!

Music History: Wartime Music is our Music History theme this month! Wartime music is a type of music created around the time of war. This music can either by pro-war, anti-war, or neutral to the war. This type of music can also describe what life is like during wars. If you’d like to learn more, check out music history!

Music Composition: Wartime Music is also our Composition theme this month. Try to create your own Wartime Music, knowing that it might be pro-war, anti-war, neutral to the war, or even describing wartime life. Check out Music Composition to learn more!

For Our Youngest Students: We will be exploring Wartime Music in easier doses.
