As we settle into the new year and the winter chill sets in, there is nothing quite like live music to warm the spirit.
We are thrilled to announce the return of a beloved tradition: the annual Michelle Tuesday Music School (MTMS) Winter Benefit Concert.
On the afternoon of Saturday, January 24, we invite our studio families, friends, and the wider Gahanna community to join us at St. Luke Lutheran Church for an afternoon dedicated to musical excellence and community giving.
Music with a Mission: Supporting GRIN
This concert is more than just a showcase of talent; it’s also a chance to give back to our neighbors.
In lieu of ticket purchases, we ask all audience members to bring a donation of a non-perishable food item. All donations we collect at the door will directly benefit GRIN (Gahanna Residents in Need), by helping to stock their pantries during the critical winter months.
Enjoy beautiful music, and simultaneously help ensure our friends and neighbors have adequate food on their tables.
A Formal Showcase of Talent
Unlike our casual studio recitals, the Winter Benefit Concert is set in a more formal atmosphere, and utilizes the beautiful fellowship space at St. Luke Lutheran Church on Morse Road. The event features elegant, hour-long sessions, which highlight the best of the best at MTMS.
Expect an entertaining program featuring highly polished pieces from our hardest-working musicians. You may hear some lingering melodies of the holiday season or winter-themed pieces. However, performers are welcome to showcase their best repertoire from any genre.
A Note to Students: Strive for Excellence
To maintain the high standard of this formal event, student may only present performances if their teachers invite them to participate.
Students, consider this your goal for January! If you have polished a piece to perfection—one that you are truly proud of and ready to share on a formal stage—talk to your teacher. We are looking for performances that demonstrate hard work, musicality, and stage presence. Therefore, work hard, practice well, and aim for that invitation!
