Current Tuition: $79.95

Michelle Tuesday Music School Music Festivals are one- or two-day music events. Festival participants meet, engage in fun activities, learn and rehearse music, and perform selections at a final concert for friends and family.

 

Harry Potter

The MTMS Harry Potter Music Festival is a day-long event featuring Harry Potter-themed activities and music!  The final performance for family and friends will be at the end of the day at our annual Halloween Party.  Participants are encouraged to wear costumes! Children of all ages, skill levels, and instruments welcome.

Music performed will be selected from the Harry Potter Orchestral Suite.

Star Wars Festival

The MTMS Star Wars Music Festival is an all-day themed music festival featuring music from the Star Wars series of movies. Students will spend the the day engaged in theme-related activities and learning music from the movie, which they will perform at a concert for friends and family.

  • Instruments welcome: voice and all instruments
  • You do not have to own an instrument, although you are welcome to bring yours
  • Beginners welcome! We will assign an instrument with a simple part to beginners.
Frozen Festival

The MTMS Frozen Music Festival is an all-day themed music festival featuring music from the Frozen series of movies. Students will spend the the day engaged in theme-related activities and learning music from the movie, which they will perform at a concert for friends and family.

Choral Festival

The MTMS Choral Festival is a day-long event in with an additional weekend rehearsal and final performance. Students spend the day meeting new friends, participating in fun activities, learning about traditional and contemporary choral music, and rehearsing choral pieces to perform at a final weekend concert for friends and family.

All vocalists ages 6-18 welcome
Ability to read music is not required
MTMS students must arrange with their instructors to start working on parts prior to the festival

Irish Music Festival

Students will learn traditional Jigs and Reels to perform at a final concert for friends and family.

Instruments welcome: all strings
Students must enroll by the deadline and practice music in advance of the festival
Music requirements:

Non-MTMS students must know A, D, G, C major scales and be able to read music
Current MTMS students may speak with their teachers to obtain and work on music appropriate to their level during lessons
During our summer session, students also learn about Irish Culture and History, learn music by ear and with sheet music, and work on art projects making celtic knots in addition to t-shirts, bios and promotional posters.

Musical Theatre Festival

The MTMS Musical Theatre Festival is a great budget-friendly alternative to a week-long summer Musical Theatre camp. Whether your child is an experienced performer or a brand-new beginner who wants to try singing and dancing to musical theatre numbers for the very first time, this festival is for you. Students will spend the day meeting new friends, participating in fun activities, and learning a musical theatre number to perform at a weekend concert for family and friends! This is a great opportunity for students to learn and enhance music, dance, performance, and listening skills, as well as the art of teamwork.

Music and dance proficiency requirements:

  • None – beginners welcome!
Orchestra Festival

The MTMS Orchestra Festival is a festival in which students will meet new friends, participate in fun activities, learn about orchestral music, and rehearse group pieces for a final performance. MTMS Orchestra students will study light classical and popular music arranged for orchestral instruments and perform at a weekend concert for friends and family.

  • Instruments welcome: all strings, winds, percussion, guitars, piano/keyboard

Music proficiency requirements:

  • None! Beginners welcome.
Glee Club

glee [gliː] n. (Music, other) a type of song originating in 18th-century England, sung by three or more unaccompanied voices.

A more modern version of Glee involves a choir who sing and move to choral arrangements of popular music. Thanks to the Fox television show of the same name, “Glee” has become a household term. Join an MTMS Glee Summer Camp and sing and dance to popular music.
