Summer Camps and Festivals

After much anticipation, the 2013 Michelle Tuesday Music School Summer Camp lineup has been published. This year, we are offering three week-long music summer camps:

  • Musical Theatre Summer Camp
  • Glee! Summer Camp
  • Rock Band Summer Camp

Check out the “Now Enrolling” sidebar for dates and to enroll.

In 2013, we have expanded the hours of our summer camps to 8am-5pm Monday through Friday the week of the camp, with a final performance at 6:30 PM on Friday. We hope the new hours make it more convenient for you to drop off and pick up your child during summer camp week.

Also new in 2013, we are introducing MTMS Summer Festivals. These budget-friendly, one-day camps run from 8am-5pm the day of the camp, with a final performance on Saturday afternoon showcasing the hard work of all the festivals from the week. The options include:

  • Summer Flute Festival
  • Summer Pops Festival
  • Summer Irish Festival
  • Summer Rock Festival
  • Summer Choral Festival

Our instructors are very excited about these new offerings, and we hope to see many of our students as well as new faces in the groups. Invite your friends! These music camps and music festivals are open to the public, and it’s easy to enroll online.

We welcome your questions and ideas about our summer music offerings.

  1. my daughter would like to learn how to play the piano. She has never played before will the summer camp teach her?

    1. The summer camp will teach your daughter how to play two or three specific songs, which the students will learn throughout the week, as well as how to perform with a group, which requires teamwork and listening skills. She will probably not learn enough piano to read music or teach herself additional songs after the camp. For that she would need ongoing lessons. Does this answer your question?

  2. Tara, there’s still room! The week-long summer camps are $319, and the one-day summer music festivals are $59.
